Santa Maria da Feira, known for its rich historical heritage and vibrant cultural scene, is a city where tradition and innovation walk side by side. From medieval castles to contemporary social projects, it stands as a symbol of community-driven progress in northern Portugal.

Concept

Interactive Cultural Installation

We designed an open-air interactive installation that invited the community to explore, play, and reflect - turning everyday public space into a collective, immersive experience.

Inspired by the daily work of over 150 social Institutions, the project celebrated themes of care, inclusion, and community resilience - blending immersive design with playful interaction tocreate a symbolic, emotionally resonant experience.

At the heart of the installation stood six color-coded courtyards, each one dedicated to a social theme: from education to sustainability. Interactive games, symbolic objects, and collective actions invited visitors to engage both physically and emotionally. From playing “Social Tetris” to leaving written hopes on ceramic tiles for the future, every detail was designed to turn individual gestures into shared meaning.
